Ubisoft has released Assassin’s Creed concept art that shows off some of the ideas being toyed around with before the first game was finalised. I have to say some of these are truly amazing.

Seems the hidden blade was an idea right from the start

These pieces of art are the works of Khai Nguyen dating back to when the development team were seeing this as a Prince of Persia: Sands of Time spin-off where the Assassin’s were guards of the prince himself. Other ideas for the first game included the use of a female assassin as well as co-operative multiplayer. We have more pieces of artwork below but check out UbiSoft’s Facebook page for plenty more.
