Earlier today a leaked video of Rayman Legends made its way onto the web not only showing off the new sequel in motion but also demonstrating some of the Wii U features it will have. While it wasn’t confirmed as legit by the publisher themselves, UbiSoft have now responded stating Rayman Legends is indeed real, and is in development at its Montpellier studio by Michel Ancel.
Here is their statement:
An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet. This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features. This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits. Ubisoft confirms the development of Rayman Legends handled by Michel Ancel and his team in Montpellier.
So there you have it. Confirmation! While the video was only meant to be shown internally, I’m sure UbiSoft have something brewing away for us come E3.
