An unfinished version of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 was accidentally released for download on Steam this weekend. This version still included plenty of bugs and missing textures, and was quickly pulled from the service by Sega.
Obviously there were eager gamers nearby to download and give their impressions. One commenter on gaming site Kotaku noted, “You don’t lose all forward momentum when you jump and rolling does pick up speed down slopes (but not nearly enough, only really steep slopes). You can definitely tell this is Sonic 4.”
The official release for the game is May 15 for Xbox Live Arcade (1200 points), PSN (£9.99/€12.99) and PC (£12.99/€12.99). More formats will follow later in the summer.
