SEGA Starting 3D Classics Range Starting With Space Harrier

Published on November 22, 2012 by

Sega is planning a revival of Space Harrier on 3DS.

That’s according to a report out of Japan, which reports that the 3DS-bound game will be a port of the arcade original with added support for the 3DS’s widescreen profile and stereoscopic 3D.

The report also claims that this will be the first of numerous classic 3DS remakes that SEGA plans to release on the handheld. Nintendo originally started the ’3D Classics’ selection but has since abandoned it so it’ll be interesting to see what SEGA bring to the table. Fingers crossed this means we’ll see Outrun make a long awaited return.

There was no word on a release date.
