With a forth puzzling Professor Layton title hitting European stores late last year, fans have been eagerly awaiting a 3D entry in the series. With Nintendo’s latest European release schedule hinting at a vague Autumn launch, American’s unfortunately have been left in the dark. It seems the wait may be almost over though as Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask for 3DS has turned up in a US trademark filing from Level-5.
If previous years are anything to go by Layton games have a habit of turning up in trademark filings shortly before their official announcements at E3 so expect more at this year’s event.
Believe it or not Miracle Mask was a 3DS launch title for Japan way back in February of 2011 so news of localisation being nearly complete is encouraging to hear.
