No E3 Announcements From Valve This Year

Published on May 3, 2012 by

Much to the disappointment of gamers worldwide, it has been confirmed that Valve has no plans to make product announcements at E3. That means no Left 4 Dead 3, no Portal 3 and no Half Life 3.

Guess we won't be seeing you at E3 Gordon

Reports first originally came in that a fan posting on ValveTime revealed an e-mail conversation between themselves and Valve boss Gabe Newell stating that already announced products such as DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, would be the focus.

Gabe’s response read, “We are not announcing anything at E3. Really,” he said. “We are not announcing Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. We are going to be showing stuff everyone already knows about (CS:Go, Dota 2, 10′ UI)”.

“We have no product announcements planned for this year’s show,” Valve comms boss Doug Lombardi told site Joystiq, further cementing gamer’s disappointment.
