Nintendo have announced a Wii U preview event set to take place in New York on Thursday, September 13th from 10:00am to 4:00pm EDT. The presentation will be led by Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, and will apparently shed light on “how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment.”
Since this date will be dangerously close to the end of the year (and we were promised a 2012 release), I think its safe to assume we’ll get some concrete details on launch date, price and launch titles. For now Nintendo have just announced an event for the US but if the launch of the new home console is anything like the 3DS, then we can probably expect a European and Japanese event around the same time with details of their territories release.
The wait till September is going to be a tough one, but hopefully it’ll be worth the wait and we’ll finally know when we can get our hands of the Wii U
