Great news to hear Wii U confirmed once more for 2012

UPDATE: It’s been officially confirmed by Nintendo themselves with the event set to be hosted by Nintendo of Europe President Satoru Shibata. The time also means it will run simultaneously with America’s event in New York. We’ll have all the updates on Thursday.

It has been revealed that a Nintendo Direct will take place for European gamers on the 13th at 3pm UK time. More importantly it has been confirmed the Wii U will be out at the end of the year finally putting rumours to rest that it may have slipped to 2013 due to manufacturing problems.

This information comes from Nintendo Spain PR via Spanish site Gamereactor with the original article since taken down. This is likely due to the breaking of the embargo on which the information can be revealed. Hopefully Nintendo will make an official announcement soon.
