Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has scored the latest platforming adventure from the portly plumber and it definitely sounds promising. With four reviewers playing and scoring the game, each member awarded the 3DS title with an impressive nine out of ten.
Gamers have not been the most accepting when it comes to the New Super Mario Bros series thanks to its less than appealing art design and it seems the backlash is perhaps worse with upcoming titles New Super Mario Bros 2 and New Super Mario Bros U. Why? Too much too soon seems to be the case with two pretty much identical platformers coming out in the same year. Maybe Mario needs to take a break?
Whatever the case, it seems that hasn’t stopped Famitsu from loving the 3DS title that sees the return of Raccoon Mario outfit and introduces a greater need for collecting coins.
New Super Mario Bros 2 is out August 17th for 3DS.
