According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo, we’ll see the first Super Mario game for Wii U at E3 this year!
When translated, the original story sees Shigeru Miyamoto telling the newspaper he “anticipates” Nintendo will reveal its mascot’s first HD outing on 5th June.
If you remember last year we saw a demo of what was called New Super Mario Bros Mii but Nintendo kept stressing it was merely a demonstration of what was possible on the console rather than a game in development. You have to believe though, after sales of the Wii and DS version its pretty likely the company is working hard on a Wii U sequel.
Or could it be related to Super Mario 4 that had a domain registered recently leading many to believe we were seeing a true sequel to the original series.
Or maybe… its something entirely new altogether. Imagine something as brilliant as Super Mario Galaxy! One things for sure, the wait for E3 is going to be torture as we eagerly wonder what Nintendo have hidden up their sleeves.
