10 Billion! Far too greedy of you Luigi!
Nintendo’s latest Mario adventure focuses on collecting as many golden coins as possible and judging by the company’s most recent update regarding the coin collection status on New Super Mario Bros. 2, the numbers are nothing short of insane.
Nintendo have revealed that over 10 billion coins have been collected thus far which sounds even more impressive when you take into account the fact the game hasn’t even left Japan yet! It was also revealed that 242 players have reached the 1 million coin mark in the game and unlocked the special “reward” which has left many gamer disappointed. I won’t reveal what it is, but there’s plenty of YouTube videos doing so if you’re interested.
With NSMB 2 coming out later this month in other territories, it’ll be interesting to see just how high that number reaches. Expect a review from us next week.
