Could Take 2 have been influenced by the movie for this promotion? Hmmm…

Okay well maybe not exactly a golden ticket, but can you blame me for linking this story with Roald Dahl’s classic? 2K Games has teamed-up with Official Xbox Magazine for a special Borderlands 2 promotion printing split-run collector editions covers of their magazine, with Borderlands 2 characters appearing on them.

There will be ten extra special copies featuring a ‘Claptrap Gold Vault Hunter’ cover will win the lucky so-and-so a HDTV and a signed copy of Borderlands 2 from Randy Pitchford.

So make sure to be on the hunt for these golden beauties next month and if you do happen to find one I urge you to sing “I’ve got a golden ticket” as you run home.

The special issues of Official Xbox Magazine will launch on August 8th.
