An infographic by research firm Statista has revealed just how well the Vita and 3DS are doing when compared with each other as well as previous handhelds.
The charts show some interesting comparisons with the 3DS and Vita. It seems Europeans take to the Sony branded console more than gamers in the US or Japan during the first week. The PSP in particular looms over it’s competition in terms of sales. However when compared with previous handhelds PSP and DS, sales are lower worldwide.
Overall sales to date for the Nintendo 3DS have seen a complete turnaround since it’s worryingly big drop shortly after it’s release. Sony also recently announced sales of over 1.2 million worldwide. Both however have a long way to go if they’re to beat the original Nintendo DS sitting in at 152 million units!
