After weeks of speculation, rumours and leaks, Square Enix has officially confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 will be available soon on PC. A more specific date was sadly absent.

The official site states some features including the chance to “show off your in-game accomplishments and put your gaming skills to the test with 36 brand new achievements to unlock.”

Also included will be character boosters: “Find yourself stuck on a difficult section or lacking the funds to buy that vital Phoenix Down? With the Character Booster you can increase your HP, MP and Gil levels to their maximum, all with the simple click of a button, leaving you to enjoy your adventure. ” Finally the game will also feature Cloud Saves allowing you to continue your game progress from any computer just so long as you have an internet connection.

Square Enix also revealed an announcement trailer for the game.
