Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of Two Review

Published on December 3, 2012 by

I really enjoyed the original Epic Mickey on the Nintendo Wii. Sure it didn’t live up to its amazing initial concept art and failed to deliver it’s promised good vs. bad system, but thanks to a combination of fun Nintendo 64 style adventuring and enough Disney references to make PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale’s effort at fanfare look pitiful, it’s a

WWE 13 Review

Published on November 9, 2012 by

Let’s face it, the WWE is a ghost of its former self lacking the genuinely interesting characters, fun  story lines and overall sense of impact it once had. This coming from a fan of the company who was at one point in his life glued to his television set watching Shane McMahon leap from the top of the TitanTron onto

Skylanders Giants Review

Published on November 6, 2012 by

Many of you will probably remember this time last year, was around the point where many out there got sucked into a little thing call Skylanders. Taking the Spyro brand and essentially transforming it into something that at the time seemed insane and different, the game (and its figures) went on to become THE thing to buy that Christmas. While

Disney Pixar’s Brave: The Video Game Review

Published on August 8, 2012 by

I’m a big fan of Pixar films and I’m also a big fan of video games however I’ve found the two don’t always go hand in hand. I found Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 to be really good, solid games, but found others like Up, Wall-E and Ratatouille to be very average. The latest Pixar film released this summer

Project Zero 2: Wii Edition Review

Published on June 29, 2012 by

The sun is slowly setting on Nintendo’s Wii making way for bigger and better things passing on the baton to its successor releasing later this year. However that hasn’t stopped a handful of gems showing up in what looks to be the console’s true final year. Games like The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower, hell even Mario Party 9 was a

Mario Party 8 Review

Published on June 28, 2012 by

Mario has thrown eight parties since the Nintendo 64 days. That’s more than me in my lifetime! While criticism has increased with every bash the plumber has thrown many have bought the game regardless mainly due to its fun multiplayer. But with the Wii’s motions controls, this version seemed to hold a lot of promise and breathe much needed life

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Review

Published on June 26, 2012 by

The LEGO game series has been around for seven years now always managing to deliver a cute, easily accessible experience that gamers, friends, family and even fans of the movie they are representing can get into. While each new addition to the series rarely ever feels like it breaks entirely new ground, they’re still enough fun if somewhat unadventurous in

Rock Band 3 Review

Published on March 16, 2012 by

In a period where music games are all but on life support it seems like the genre is in desperate need of a serious resuscitation. Enter Rock Band 3, the third main entry in the long running franchise that hopes to not only refresh the way you play a music title, but revolutionise it. Does it keep its epic promises

Wii Play Review

Published on March 13, 2012 by

Most people would be excused for jumping for joy at the prospect of grabbing yourself a new Nintendo game and remote at a good price, but be weary as while it may seem a decent deal, the game will more than likely amuse for just an evening before being taken out of your console and never used again.   Wii

Mario Party 9 Review

Published on March 2, 2012 by

It’s no secret that the Wii’s best days are long behind it with decent releases now few and far between. It’s for this reason then that I suppose I was a little more excited about Mario Party 9 than I ought to be, especially considering the fact that the series has been on a downward slope since its Nintendo 64
