Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of Two Review

Published on December 3, 2012 by

I really enjoyed the original Epic Mickey on the Nintendo Wii. Sure it didn’t live up to its amazing initial concept art and failed to deliver it’s promised good vs. bad system, but thanks to a combination of fun Nintendo 64 style adventuring and enough Disney references to make PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale’s effort at fanfare look pitiful, it’s a

Assassin’s Creed III Review

It’s finally here, the next addition to the ever popular Assassin’s Creed franchise. This time, we no longer return to fan-favourite Ezio Auditore da Firenze’s life, but instead are introduced to a whole new set of characters in a whole new time frame. This is the sequel, I for one, have been waiting a long time to see, and I

Skylanders Giants Review

Published on November 6, 2012 by

Many of you will probably remember this time last year, was around the point where many out there got sucked into a little thing call Skylanders. Taking the Spyro brand and essentially transforming it into something that at the time seemed insane and different, the game (and its figures) went on to become THE thing to buy that Christmas. While

FTL: Faster Than Light Review

Described as a space rouge-like RPG FTL may seem ostentatious to someone who doesn’t know what rouge-like means. (And to be honest I didn’t)  Put simply rouge-like describes games that have random levels, permanent death and are turn based. When I found this out it made me understand that FTL was very clearly described and after playing it does exactly as it says on the tin.     The

Dishonored Review

Published on October 23, 2012 by

It’s that crazy time of year that all gamers look forward to (and our bank balance dreads) the most. The summer drought has ended and it’s time to enter the run up to Christmas. This means the usual annual £40 updates to football games, the latest entry in the Call of Duty series and other sequels hoping to sell bucket

Sonic Adventure 2 Review

Published on October 8, 2012 by

Sonic Adventure 2 was my childhood go-to game. Back in the days of the Dreamcast I would always find myself replaying stages just to hear the lyrics to ‘City Escape’ once more (and believe me I know every single word even to this day) or grab a few extra emblems or even just to perfect one of my runs and

Rocksmith Review

Published on October 4, 2012 by

I’ve been playing guitar for a few years, so when this game came up for review, I was jumping at the chance to give it go. Although  I really wasn’t sure what to expect from a game being advertised as a learning tool for guitar and bass, the idea seemed like an interesting one albeit ambitious. Bottom line is, Rocksmith

Resident Evil 6 Review

Published on October 2, 2012 by

So here we are, Resident Evil 6. What many expected to be the pinnacle of the series; a game that would cater for everyone whether you were a shooter fan, horror enthusiast or somewhere in between has shockingly failed to deliver. On paper it all sounds fantastic; multiple campaigns, varying gameplay styles, plenty of extras. In practice however things

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Review

Transformers toys from Hasbo have been around for decades and it’s very easy to see why. As a child (and even an adult) there seems be nothing more awesome than a robot that transforms into a vehicle. As a result, Transformers have had many video games and films over its lifetime all with very questionable results. This isn’t surprising though,

Death Rally Review

Published on September 4, 2012 by

Remedy (responsible for the original horror title Alan Wake) are taking us on a trip down memory lane with a remake of the company’s fondly remembered top-down arcade racer from 1996, Death Rally. Originally released on iOS and Android this exciting little racer has finally made the leap to PC. Does it warrant the higher asking price though?   Racing
