Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity Review

Published on May 22, 2013 by

I’ve always been a fan of Pokémon games, from the amazingly brilliant main series, to the hit and miss spin-offs. Even as more and more Pokemon were added leading some of the older generation to lose appreciation of the games, I was one of the remaining gamers to stick with them. It was only natural progression for the series and

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Review

Published on May 9, 2013 by

There’s always been something about the Monster Hunter series that’s made me keep my distance – whether it’s the fact I’m not the biggest fan of RPG-style games or the large amount of time you usually need to invest in a game like this, it’s something that has never really appealed to me. However with 3DS on a roll and

HarmoKnight Review

Published on April 2, 2013 by

When you hear the name Game Freak it’s difficult not to think of the Pokemon franchise. After all they have been the company behind the best selling series since day one. Rarely do we get a chance to see them venture onto new projects, (you may remember Drill Dozer – a delightful little puzzle title) sticking with the little critters

Paper Mario Sticker Star Review

Published on December 5, 2012 by

The Paper Mario series is such a delightful one, with its lighter RPG style elements, self referential nature, kooky story and overall visually pleasing aesthetics. The original on the Nintendo 64 opened strongly with its sequel on the Gamecube delivering in my opinion one of the best experiences on the console. Even the more platforming focused Super Paper Mario

Pokedex Pro 3D Review

Published on November 12, 2012 by

Pokedex Pro 3D is the latest instalment of Pokemon apps on the 3DS.  It’s an expansion on the free Pokedex 3D which only had a few of the Pokemon which you had to collect over time. This one has all the Pokemon to date and all of their different forms too! It also has some new features which expand on

Skylanders Giants Review

Published on November 6, 2012 by

Many of you will probably remember this time last year, was around the point where many out there got sucked into a little thing call Skylanders. Taking the Spyro brand and essentially transforming it into something that at the time seemed insane and different, the game (and its figures) went on to become THE thing to buy that Christmas. While

Pokemon Dream Radar Review

Published on October 22, 2012 by

Having Pokemon fly around your room whilst you fire a beam in an attempt to try and capture them sounds amazing right? Well if you play Pokemon Dream Radar that’s what you get, although you can only see everything that’s happening through your 3DS and most Pokemon appear as orbs.   First things first, I would class this as more of an

Learn With Pokemon Typing Adventure Review

Published on September 21, 2012 by

When it comes to Pokemon spin-offs, the results can often be somewhat of a mixed bag. For every excellent venture like Pokemon Snap or Pokemon Conquest, you’re also find a forgettable one such as Rush or the PokePark duo. On paper, the idea of a Pokemon game that sees you typing out names over and over seems like an incredibly

Freakyforms Deluxe Review

Published on August 10, 2012 by

With the 3DS XL releasing just a couple of weeks back you’d think Nintendo would also have launched a major title to accompany such an event. While New Super Mario Bros 2 isn’t out until next week, we did receive two new games in the form of New Art Academy and Freakyforms Deluxe perhaps as showcases of how a bigger

New Art Academy Review

Published on August 6, 2012 by

I’ve done my fair share of artwork in the past. I loved it at school, studied it for GCSE and even from time to time find myself drawing or sketching should I get the chance. The feeling of creativity is great and constantly do I find myself promising I’ll learn more and practice. As you can imagine that promise
