Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs In Final Form

Published on February 25, 2013 by

In an update to the Frictional Games blog, the indepedent developer confirmed it received a final build of the Dan Pinchbeck-designed Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, the followup to Frictional’s own Amnesia: the Dark Descent, which released in 2010.

“But don’t get too excited just yet. Some work is still left to be done. We are testing, tweaking, optimizing, porting, translating and all those things that are part of the process of creating and releasing a game,” Frictional said.

“Currently we are looking at a release around Q2 2013.”

A Machine for Pigs had been expected by Halloween 2012, but the project grew from “a short, experimental game set in the universe of Amnesia” to “a fully fledged Amnesia game”.

“A different kind of Amnesia, but definitely not a short experiment,” Frictional said.
